JKU student Thomas Wageneder presented the results of his Bachelor’s thesis in Business Informatics on the use of artificial intelligence and large language models for tax consulting in a seminar on Tax Law Technology at Vienna University of Economics and Business upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Robert Risse.
Use of Artificial Intelligence for Tax Consulting
The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Marina Luketina from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Steyr together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Christoph Schütz from the Institute of Business Informatics – Data & Knowledge Engineering at JKU Linz. The thesis is part of a wider project on large language models in the context of the Value Added Tax Act, currently being conducted by Prof. Dr. Marina Luketina at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in cooperation with the Institute of Business Informatics – Data & Knowledge Engineering and the company DATEV eG.
